Goldie...Unnamed pink

I was perusing the cosmetics aisle at TJ Maxx when I spotted a boxed set of polishes with a $7.99 sticker on them. It was the last one so I grabbed it; you can't beat 8 polishes for $8. I got them home and tore into them and it turns out they are made my Goldie. I looked it up, and apparently the brand was released by Bath and Body Works at one time. They sold for $9 a bottle. They are now discontinued, but apparently the sets are popping up at TJ Maxx and Marshalls.

First of all, the bottles are adorable. Check it out:

Even my husband, who is so over my nail polish obsession, saw them and said "Wow, these are so cute!"

Don't tell him I told you that.

I swatched half of them, but I'm saving the rest for a giveaway. The formula was great on all of them, and the colors are pretty, though not very unique.

First up is a brown based pale pink creme, which just looks nude on me. The bottles are all label-less, so I have no idea what the name is. I'll just call it "Buff". This is three coats, no topcoat.

Very work appropriate. Pretty, but bland, which just isn't my style. I decided to add China Glaze Fairy Dust on top to give it some kick.

As I said before, the formula was good; no problems whatsoever with application. I'm currently wearing a bright pink from the set, which I'll photograph today if the sun ever peeks out.

Happy painting!

Zoya Bailey, and RIP to my right ring fingernail

Zoya Bailey is really pretty, but this is another color I don't generally go for. It's a sheer nude with silver and pink shimmer. I think I jinxed myself by putting it on, because I broke my right ring fingernail today and it is Not.Pretty. So now I will only be wearing nudes until it grows out a little. This sucks! Anyway, Zoya Bailey. It's perfect for work because it's subtle enough that it doesn't stand out, but it's sparkly enough that you still want to look at your nails in the light.

Three coats, no topcoat.

Sparkly:

The formula was fine, but you definitely need at least three coats.

Please pour out a little lacquer for my fallen fingernail.

Color Club Love 'Em Leave' Em

Don't you just love satisfying lemmings? This has been one of mine for awhile now. Love Em and Leave Em is a warm light gold polish with a very subtle holographic effect. On me, it looks more nude than gold, and that is exactly why I like it.

Two coats, Revlon Colorstay Topcoat.

Indoors

I had zero issues with the formula. Love Em and Leave Em dried almost to a matte finish, so a topcoat is needed for shine. Once again, Color Club has made me a happy girl.

L'Oreal Tres Soleil

Tres Soleil is one of my favorite low key polishes. It has a nude base and GORGEOUS gold shimmer. I don't own it to compare, but from pictures I've seen, this polish is very close to Chanel Beige Rose.

Three coats, no topcoat.

The formula was fine. I needed three coats to get to opacity. My pictures don't really do this polish justice. I don't feel like being nude very often, but when I do, this is my holy grail.

Happy painting!
